About Us:
Haddon Rig is a family owned mixed farming operation at Warren in Central West NSW farming around 9,000ha and up to 800ha of irrigation. We strive to provide an enjoyable and stimulating work culture with variety of work and training as needed. Staff numbers vary from six to ten depending on the season.
Currently we are looking for an Assistant Manager or 2IC to work with our existing Cropping Manager to oversee all operations. The role can be tailored to suit a particular skill set or possibly train a less experienced applicant over time.
We have a large winter crop harvest approaching as well as a full summer cropping program starting in October. Experience with large broad acre and or row crop equipment is preferred. We run new model tractors and spray equipment. The work involves a mix of general farm and machinery maintenance, as well as operating various machinery and irrigating with over bank pipes.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with our Cropping Manager to oversee all dryland and irrigation farming operations
Keep our John Deere machinery running like a dream
Plan, coordinate, and conquer daily and seasonal tasks
Lead, motivate, and manage a dynamic farm team
Communicate seamlessly with the Cropping Manager and Owners
Essential requirements:
Good physical health
Positive can-do attitude.
Ability to work alone and in a team.
Valid driver’s licence
Desired skills:
Experience with large or small machinery.
General mechanical knowledge.
Metal fabrication.
Flood irrigation experience.
SP Spray rig operation.
